We always get together with friends on Halloween and either the wives follow the kids around while the husbands pass out candy or vice versa. Me and the other guy I was walking with agreed Halloween would be much better if a few houses skipped candy and handed out beef jerky.

There was one house where we knew the people and they gave us spiked hot apple cider. Those folks are wonderful people.

Between the 4 of us we went through 4 boxes since the begining of the month (250pcs). I just bought 5 boxes of half price candy(250pcs) , today. As for the candy we bought to give out we have 25 bags of chips left, 50 chocolate bars, and 50 suckers left, and its getting late so there may not be many kids after this.

When I grew up we also went in packs, whenever the dad’s took us they had a wagon w/ a cooler of beer & 1 house each block seemed to hand out shots to parents.

I sat on the front steps handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters, picking out all the Reese’s cups and eating them myself.
